I have a bunch of stereo channels represented as (volume, pan) and want to convert back and forth between this representation and (volume_left, volume_right). All values are between 0 and 1. I want to do this because the vsl1818 only supports "linked sends" which means treating a pair of outputs as two stereo channels while I'd much rather treat them as independent channels.
I want to be able to increase volume_left without modifying volume_right, and vice-versa.
Do I need to experiment with the board to learn how panning is implemented, or is there a standard way of doing this?
(This is for my vsl1818 program.)
